Welcome to Kumbira Forest Project
Kumbira Forest is arguably the most important site for bird conservation along the Angolan scarp. The forest holds an excellent diversity of birds and significant populations of three Endangered endemics. However, serious threats to the integrity of the forest are putting these species at risk.
The objective of this blog is to inform you
about Kumbira Forest and the efforts being undertaken to ensure the conservation
of its forests.
You will be able to find interesting
information regarding the forest, the Angolan scarp, the birds found here,
the conservation issues facing this important area and even our education and
awareness campaign, in the form of activity and colouring-in pages for the
little ones.
We also hope to keep you updated on our
fieldwork and findings.
If you have any suggestions, comments, would
like to support the project or simply want to make contact....please do!!!
I hope you enjoy the blog!!!!
